The Story
Why "Amber"? Because the warm, honeyed glow of whiskey meeting house-made ginger and apple recalls the amber gemstone itself. This is the fourth and final drink in our Gemstone Collection, dedicated to anyone who loves whiskey in an elegant, wintry form. Whiskey meets house-made ginger syrup, fresh lemon, and apple juice — spiced, smooth, and comforting, with a blue butterfly-pea streak on the rim for subtle contrast.
How We Make It
Shaker
Add 60ml whiskey, 30ml ginger syrup, 30ml lemon juice, and 60ml apple juice to a shaker.
Ice & Shake
Fill with ice and shake hard for 12-15 seconds until the shaker is ice-cold on the outside.
Double Strain
Double strain into a chilled Nick & Nora glass.
Garnish
Garnish with a dried orange wheel and a streak of butterfly pea powder on the glass rim.
Bartender Tips
Natural Apple Juice
Use 100% natural unsweetened apple juice — it provides a delicate natural sweetness that complements the whiskey without overwhelming it.
Homemade Ginger Syrup
Make ginger syrup at home — equal parts sugar and water with freshly grated ginger. The difference in taste compared to store-bought syrup is enormous.
Butterfly Pea Powder
The blue streak on the glass rim isn't just decoration — butterfly pea powder adds a stunning color contrast to the drink's amber tone.
